History of Pune People's Bank
Post-Independence of the nation, in 1952, the enthusiasm infused by the visionary founder members of our bank namely Late Shri. Mamasaheb Chitale, Late. A.R. Bhat, Late. A.G. Kale by taking inspiration of the principles of cooperative and has established “Pune Peoples Co-op Bank Ltd. Pune” for the development of common people on the auspicious moment of Vasant Panchami. Initially, there were only 46 members with Deposits Rs.80,000.00/- and advances Rs.24,000.00/- only.
In this way, bank has started its journey with the strong pillars such as creative Board of Directors, loyal customers, bank’s well-wishers and devotion of the staff who have propelled the sound foundation of the bank.
In 2013, the Bank has achieve its new milestone as a “Multistate bank” status with approval of the Reserve Bank of India and has emerged as one of the leading multistate bank in Pune.
At the end of 31 st March 2024, bank has successfully achieved business milestone of Rs.2378.00 crore. Bank is seamlessly catering to the needs of society through its present network of 23 branches and one extension counter spread over mainly in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad area. All the branches has adopted customer centric approach and always committed to provide quality- banking services with speed and great convenience.

Management
The Board of directors of the bank are professional, well qualified, quite experienced, and dynamic and equilibrant. The board of directors contains Chartered Accountant, Advocates, Doctor and Businessman.

Bank dynamic the Core Banking Solutions (CBS) that helps to provide anywhere banking services to the customers. Bank is providing ATM, RTGS / NEFT with the use of latest technology, providing various digital services by using various delivery channels such as POS, IMPS, Mobile App, CTS, Nach, Ach (CR & DR) to customers across the country.
